1. This is an important reminder that there are requirements and
specifications on how problems must be handled and tracked in regards to
POMS. This is a Coast Guard FINCEN requirement that must be complied with.
Auxiliarists need to follow all the protocols from all Coast Guard sites and
the standards need to be enforced across the board. Direct calls to
Statronics, FINCEN, and Coast Guard Headquarters to resolve problems with
POMS can no longer be considered acceptable practice and will only be
referred to the proper POMS problem management procedures.

2. Your primary POMS contact for Access, Education and Problem Determination
is your local POMS Administration Team. Your POMS Administration Team can be
identified through your Operations Chain of Administration.

3. All problems/concerns/suggestions must be reported via the Problem
Management function of POMS. If you cannot access POMS or the Problem
Management function of POMS, report your problem, concern and/or suggestion
to your Local POMS Administration Team. If the problem can't be resolved at
this level then, and only then, will the issue be forwarded by your local
POMS Administration Team up to the next level.
