What is the first uniform I should purchase?

The first uniform that should be purchased depends on what area of the Auxiliary you wish to concentrate your time in.

For most, it will be the ODU uniform (click here for picture of uniforms)


For others it will be Tropical Blue Long:

document Am I allowed to wear my USCG Auxiliary Uniform at other military events - my son is graduating from the Navy basic training at Great Lakes - can/should I wear my uniform there?
document May the embroidered collar insignia, made for the working blue uniform, be used on the ODU? Otherwise, are any Auxiliary collar insignia available for the ODU yet?
document A member of my flotilla serves a bugler with honor guard at CG funerals. He was given aiguillettes by the active duty members so that the uniforms would look alike, except for the silver on Auxiliary. Is he authorized to wear the aiguillette?

document On the ODU's, the Manual states that only the embroidered Coxsawin device is authorized. Will this open up so that I may wear my Auxiliary (embroidered) Aircrew wings? (I am not CX qualified).
